As part of the Icograda World Design Congress 2009 EXHIBIT was commissioned by Mixmind China to develop the exhibition design and lighting masterplan for the “Design as Productive Force” exhibition held at the National Art Museum of China, Beijing. The exhibition itself hosted work from SOHO China with Zaha Hadid and AUDI.

About the Exhibition

In the wave of global economic integration, modern design is playing an increasingly important role in facilitating the development of the economy. It is in this context that Design Innovating Economy becomes the theme of the Icograda World Design Congress 2009 – the first Beijing Design Week. The event explored the role of Modern Design in fostering the economic transformation of China.
The Central Academy of Fine Arts echoed this theme by organising the 2nd National Art and Design Exhibition at the National Art Museum of China. This special exhibition also seeks to convey the ideas of Design as Productive Force and Second Engine of the economy.
